Immucor is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team. The Laboratory Technician performs a variety of technical and administrative tasks associated with the Systems Engineering Laboratories. Our ideal candidate will have CBET, CLES, CLA or BMET certification with good organization skills and strong problem solving abilities.

Service Engineer – Biomedical Engineer - Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on all Automated Instrumentation in the R&D labs. You will also maintain and order department supplies and raw materials for R&D labs including stocking supplies and performing cycle counts.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Repairing and replacing parts as necessary on all automated instrumentation in R&D labs

  • Preparing system liquid solutions

  • Assuring all record keeping is in accordance with departmental and organizational procedures

  • Assuring all personnel are in compliance with all departmental laboratory procedures, OSHA safety regulations and other safety related procedures

  • Maintaining a clean and organized working lab environment

Service Engineer – Biomedical Engineer - Equipment Technician

Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated Laboratory Technician with strong technical, organizational, communication and administrative skills. Strong mathematical, reasoning, and problem solving abilities are also important for this position.

Specific requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Biomedical Electronics Technology or Biomedical Engineering Technology, preferred

  • 1 year related experience

  • CBET or CLES Certification, preferred

  • Laboratory Assistant (Certification) – from Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACL), the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT), preferred

  • Clinical Laboratory Assistant (CLA), preferred
