We are looking for an experienced and responsible Instrument Service Engineer Team Lead who will assist the Instrument Manager, Service Operations by overseeing a team of Instrument Service Engineer's (ISE) in the completion of their tasks. As Instrument Service Engineer Team Lead, you will perform and oversee testing, repair, and maintenance activities on medical instrumentation equipment under limited guidance. Instrument Service Engineer Team Lead

Responsibilities

The Team Lead performs multiple tasks associated with in-house calibration, repair, and maintenance of Immucor's non-capital equipment. This position is responsible for all in-house instrumentation systems utilized in customer training, production, product investigation lab and technical training. You also must perform repairs and preventative maintenance on internal systems.

Additional specific duties include:

  • Working collaboratively with Manager, Service Operations

  • Leading team focused meetings on regular intervals with all team members discussing ISE activity and team communication and concerns

  • Managing finished-goods inventory levels based on forecast and demand

  • Coordinating scheduling of ISE vacation requests

  • Assisting Manager, Service Operations with clarifying processes and procedures

  • Allocating team resources to balance the ISE workload

  • Coordinating completion of special projects

  • Mentoring team members on ways to improve performance and clarify processes

  • Communicating company/team goals on regular intervals

  • Coordinating and assisting with the daily shipment of parts between the main office and OEMs

  • Assisting Field Service Engineers as necessary

  • Attending meetings associated with Quality, Regulatory and R&D

  • Following and completing tasks associated with the DCR process in coordination with the Manager of Operations

  • Keeping and maintaining daily, accurate records of duties performed using appropriate documentation

  • All other duties, as assigned in irregular intervals

Instrument Service Engineer Team Lead

Qualifications

We are looking for someone a reliable and self-motivated team player who has the ability to interact cooperatively with coworkers.

Specific qualifications for the position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

  • BSEET, BMET, CMET Certifications

  • Electronics Board/Component level troubleshooting, testing and repair preferred

  • Relevant clinical engineering experience preferred

  • Any combination of an electronics and computer engineering degree will also be considered

  • Carrying parts for repairing instrumentation

  • Using a forklift to move and relocate instrumentation to outside storage containers

  • Using a soldering iron in a ventilated environment to repair PCB's
